In the T-20 World Cup match played in Colombo, Sri Lanka, Team India once again proved its strong hold by defeating Pakistan by 61 runs. Batting first, India scored 176 runs in 20 overs and gave Pakistan a target of 177 runs. In reply, Pakistan’s entire team was reduced to 114 runs in 18 overs. In the history of T20 World Cup, there have been 9 matches between India and Pakistan so far, in which India has won 8 times. It is clear from this figure that India’s dominance against Pakistan continues in this tournament.
Talking to news agency ANI, Pakistani fan Harish expressed disappointment over the team’s performance. He said, ‘He had come from Chicago to watch the Sri Lanka match and had earlier also gone to watch the 2017 Champions Trophy, 2021 and 2022 World Cup, 2024 New York and 2025 Dubai matches.’ He said that the last few matches had been exciting, especially the Melbourne match in which Pakistan came close to victory, but the Colombo match was completely one-sided.
#WATCH | Colombo, Sri Lanka | Haris, a fan of the Pakistani cricket team, says, “This was a one-sided game… If Pakistan’s public thinks of Babur Azam as a King, he should act like one, he should become like Virat Kohli… Babur Azam is not a King, and he does not deserve a… https://t.co/zQiNkt5XPL pic.twitter.com/y8Y7xE8JWg

Questions raised on Babar Azam
Harish also raised questions on Pakistan captain Babar Azam. He said, ‘If he is called a king then he should handle the innings in such big matches. When early wickets fall, the responsibility rests on the captain, but in this match he too was out early. Making a comparison, he said that former Indian captain Virat Kohli takes charge of the team in such matches, so stop calling Babar Azam a king. According to him, Pakistan needs to prepare a new team because the current combination is not looking effective.
Questions on bowling and strategy
In the beginning of the match, Pakistan bowled tightly and took one wicket for just one run in the first over, but after that there was lack of bowling changes and strategy. Fans believe that some bowlers were deployed at the wrong time, due to which India took control of the match by scoring runs quickly. Indian batsman Ishan Kishan created pressure on Pakistan’s bowlers by playing aggressive innings. By the time Pakistan changed its strategy, the match was out of their hands.
the goal proved to be big
The target of more than 175 proved to be stressful for Pakistan. The team is often able to achieve the target of 140 runs with difficulty, so chasing 177 runs became difficult. The batting order appeared to be under constant pressure and the process of falling wickets did not stop. Overall, this match was completely tilted in favor of India. Fans say that if the match had been a close contest, the excitement would have increased, but the one-sided defeat only disappointed. Based on the current performance, India currently seems to be a much better team than Pakistan.
