A big update has come out on the schedule of 2026 T20 World Cup. According to a media report, the match between India and Pakistan in the World Cup can be held on 15th February. ICC and BCCI have not yet confirmed the schedule, but it is being said that the World Cup can be played from 7 February to 8 March. Let us tell you that India and Sri Lanka are going to host the World Cup together.

According to RevSportz, the first match of the Indian team in the T20 World Cup may be with USA. There is no confirmation yet on whether this will be the first match of the tournament or not. Narendra Modi Stadium can host the first match and final match of the T20 World Cup next year.

This year, before the start of Champions Trophy 2025, an agreement was reached between the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) that India vs Pakistan matches will be played at neutral venues. Narendra Modi Stadium, Arun Jaitley Stadium, Eden Gardens, Wankhede Stadium and MA Chidambaram Stadium have been nominated to host the World Cup matches.

Any one of the two semi-final matches can be played at Wankhede in Mumbai. Whereas Pakistan will play all its matches in Sri Lanka. If the Pak team reaches the semi-finals, then that knockout match will also not be held in India. It is being told that Sri Lanka has approved the names of Colombo and Pallekele Stadium to host the World Cup matches. Whereas any one ground can be selected from Dambulla and Hambantota.

Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium has not received permission to host any cricket match after July. The good news for him is that World Cup warm-up matches can be played here.
