India called upon the international community to ensure that the terrorist organizations declared by the United Nations, including Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed of Pakistan, and their helpers could not use the land of Afghanistan for terrorist activities.
India’s permanent representative Ambassador to the United Nations, Parvatneni Harish said on Wednesday, “India is keeping a close watch on the security situation of Afghanistan.” He clearly referred to Pakistan, saying, ‘The international community should make coordinated efforts to ensure that the terrorist organizations and individuals announced by the United Nations Security Council such as ISIL (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant), Al-Qaeda, Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mauhammad and their dangerous intentions are no longer the use of Afghanistan.
While giving a statement at the United Nations Security Council meeting on Afghanistan, Ambassador Harish said that India and Afghanistan have civilization and India has the highest interest in maintaining peace and stability in this war -torn country. He said, ‘We consider international and regional consent and cooperation on major issues related to Afghanistan to be extremely necessary. We are actively communicating with all the concerned parties to promote peace, stability and development in the country. Our participation in United Nations meetings and other regional forums in Doha shows our efforts.
Ambassador Harish also told the Security Council that India’s Foreign Minister S.K. Jaishankar, Afghanistan’s acting Foreign Minister Aamir Khan has talked to Mottki twice. India welcomed the strict condemnation of Afghanistan of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir on 22 April. At the same time, India emphasized that to deal with any struggle-west situation, it is necessary to encourage positive behavior in the effective policy and discourage harmful activities.
