US President Donald Trump has issued a notice to impose 50 percent on India. It has been told that the new tariff system will be applicable from 12.01 pm on August 27. The distance between Trump and India is going to increase further. Trump is angry due to India buying oil from Russia and he also expressed displeasure over it.
The Trump administration says that it is a matter of concern for National Security for the continuous purchase of oil from Russia from India. The US Department of Homeland Security has shared information about tariffs through Kasams and Border Protection. Trump wants to increase pressure on India through this. He first imposed 25 percent tariff on India, but then increased it to 50 percent.
Trump is pressurizing those trading from Russia
Actually Trump is increasing pressure on countries having a relationship with Russia. There is a very good friendship between India and Russia and there is also a trade between the two. Trump says that India is funding the Ukraine war indirectly by purchasing oil from Russia. There has been a long war between Russia and Ukraine. Trump also held a meeting with Ukraine President Jailnsky and Russian President Putin to get it abolished.
What India responded to American tariff
India’s Foreign Ministry had justified 50 percent tariffs. He called it unjust. India said that it is buying oil from Russia keeping in mind the energy requirements and national interest. He also said that from where the oil will be cheaper, it will be purchased from there.
There was no talk on trade between India and America
There was going to be a trade deal between India and America, which is stuck due to Trump’s stubbornness. Trump wants India to open agriculture and dairy sector completely, but India is not ready for it. He has said on this issue that an agreement cannot be made on issues related to farmers.
