The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi has approved the bid for hosting 2030 Commonwealth Games in Ahmedbar. This decision was taken on August 27, for which the cooperation agreement was signed and everyone’s approval was included on giving assistance to the Gujarat government when India’s bid was approved.
Athletes from 72 countries are expected to participate in the Commonwealth Games and sports can also be played in the world’s largest stadium. The Union Cabinet has given the right to the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports to carry forward the bidding process. Efforts are included on different ministries, authorities and departments for the efforts to host.
Ahmedabad in Gujarat has been selected as a proposed city for hosting the 2030 Commonwealth Games. The infrastructure of Ahmedabad, which also comes to the Narendra Modi Stadium, which proved the ability to host its big event when there was a successful event of the 2023 ODI World Cup final.
Usually when this level of events are held, it also consists of athletes, coaches, team officials, employees, tourists and media employees from all over the world. If India hosts, then it can make a lot of profit from the region financially.
The Press Information Bureau issued a press release that the Commonwealth Games will not only raise the name of India in the sports world, but it will promote tourism, people will get jobs and young athletes will get inspiration. Those countries participate in the Commonwealth Games, which once used to be the British rule.
