Indian Air Force Day: For the first time, the parade started with a joint contingent of all three services, what Amit Shah and YEM Yogi said


The Indian Air Force is celebrating its 93rd Raising Day today on Wednesday (October 8, 2025). For the first time this year, the parade started at Hindon Air Force Station with a joint contingent of all three services of the army i.e. Army, Air Force and Navy. Along with the Air Force Chief, Army and Navy Chiefs are also present on this occasion. CDS Anil Chauhan is also participating in the program.

Indian Air Force Chief AP Singh took the salute at the Air Force Parade. 97 air warriors were honored in this program. The Golden Arrow squadron of Rafale fighter jets, the Sukhoi squadron equipped with BrahMos, the S-400 missile unit and the Loitering Munition unit, which rescued six Pakistani aircraft in Operation Sindoor, were honored with special citations.

Air Force program divided into two parts
This time, along with fighter jets, combat helicopters and transport aircraft were also presented to the world. In this event being held in Hindon after three years, a unique confluence of tradition, technological capability and future planning was seen. The Air Force program has been divided into two parts, first a parade will be organized in Hindon today i.e. on 8th October. Second fly past in Guwahati on 9th November. The strength, discipline and self-reliance of the Air Force was demonstrated in the parade. The tricolour, the Air Force flag and the flag of Operation Sindoor were hoisted from the Mi-171(B) helicopter.

President Draupadi Murmu congratulated
President Draupadi Murmu, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and other leaders extended best wishes on Air Force Day. Posting on Twitter, the President wrote, “Heartiest greetings to all the air warriors, ex-servicemen and their families on Air Force Day.” The Indian Air Force has always shown courage, commitment and excellence. Our air warriors protect our skies and serve the nation with tireless dedication during disasters and humanitarian missions.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah wrote in a post on X that hearty greetings to the protectors of our skies on Indian Air Force Day. The very name of this force instills immense pride in the hearts of Indians. Be it shouldering the burden of national security or saving lives during natural disasters, the Indian Air Force always stands with its indomitable courage and unwavering patriotism. On this day, I pay my heartfelt tribute to the martyrs of this force who made the supreme sacrifice for the nation.

UP CM Yogi Adityanath wrote that hearty congratulations and best wishes on Indian Air Force Day. The Air Force has ensured the unshakable security of Mother India with its unmatched bravery, discipline and patriotism.
