Salary is also available during training

According to the official website of the Indian Air Force, when a young officer is admitted to the rank and starts training, he is given a salary of Rs 56,100 per month in the last one year of training. After completion of training, when someone is given a commission on the flying officer rank, then under his salary pay level-10, it ranges from Rs 56,100 to Rs 1,77,500.

• Flying Lieutenant: Rs 61,300 – Rs 1,20,900
• Squadron Leader: Rs 69,400 – Rs 1,36,900
• Wing Commander: Rs 1,16,700 – Rs 2,08,700
• Group Captain: Rs 1,30,600 – Rs 2,15,900
• Air Commodore: Rs 1,39,600 – Rs 2,17,600
• Air Vice Marshal: Rs 1,44,200 – Rs 2,18,200
• Air Marshal: Rs 1,82,200 – Rs 2,24,100
• Air Chief Marshal: Rs 2,50,000 (fixed)

See you many types of allowances

Apart from salary, Air Force Officers also get many allowances. These include transport allowance, house rent allowance (HRA), Children’s Education Allowance etc. According to the place of posting, special allowances like field area, hill area, Siachen, Island Duty, Special Force, Flying Allowance and Technical Allowance are also available.

Military service pay

Officers from flying officer to air Commodore are also given Rs 15,500 per month on military service. This allowance is also received to Indian Army and Navy officials.
