If you are an engineering student and have a passion for the service of the country, then the opportunity to become an officer in the Indian Army is knocking on your door. The Indian Army has started the recruitment process for the Technical Graduate Course (TGC-142) January 2026. This course gives you the opportunity to train in the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun through a direct SSB interview without a written examination, after which you can become part of the army by getting a permanent commission.
Who can apply?
Only unmarried male candidates are eligible for this recruitment, who are graduates in engineering or studying in the final year. Talking about the age limit, between 20 and 27 years old (who was born between 2 January 1999 to 1 January 2006). It is necessary to have a BE or B.Tech degree (or studying in the final year) from a recognized university. Also, the degree should be in the same engineering branches which are mentioned in the notification.
