Indian Army Got Igla-S Missile: After the Pahalgam attack, the strength of the Indian Army has increased further amid tension from Pakistan. The reason behind this is the weapon from Russia, which will destroy the enemy army drones and fighter aircraft in the air. The Indian Army has delivered the Igla-S missile from Russia.

The air defense system delivered from Russia is being specially deployed for fast and accurate air defense in the border areas. There is an IGLA-S Manpads i.e. Man-Portable Air Defense System, which soldiers can fire by placing them on their shoulders. It is used to kill a short distance aerial target in the air. For the past several decades, India’s armed forces (Army Army and Air Force) use this Igla missile of Russia. But now it is quite old.

Range 6 km of new air defense system

The range of Igla is 3-4 kilometers but the new Igla-S range is about six (06) kilometers. This is the last missile in the air-defense system, which can kill enemy drones, fighter jets, helicopters and missiles. If its attack misses, then the enemy’s attack can be confirmed. That is why it is considered an important air defense system. Russia’s Rosoboronaxport company is now preparing to create this missile system in India with an Indian company.

Increased strength on western and northern fronts

In the speed that India’s security needs are changing today, preparations have become the most important to face drone attacks and border air threats. With the deployment of Igla-S, the Indian Army has now got the ability to react rapidly. The strategy of avoiding large threats from limited resources has become possible. Defense is helping in implementing in depth i.e. flawful security system. The deployment of this missile system has further strengthened military pressure on Pakistan’s western border. Apart from this, it is also a strategic step in response to drone and monitoring activities from China.
