The government has made it clear that this decision is not related to the quality of the content or the creative freedom, but is directly related to the National Security. Whatever platform will not follow this guideline, action can be taken under IT Rule 2021.
OTT platforms have also been asked to ensure that no such video, songs, podcasts or interviews are done here which endanger India’s unity, integrity or sovereignty, whether it is being shown in free or under any subscription.
After this advisory, it has now become necessary for Netflix, Amazon Prime, JioCinema and other large platforms to re -investigate the content present in its library. Also, make sure that even by mistake, no such content comes in front of the users who influence the current situation.
