Indian Railways Ticket System: Indian Railways has made a major change in its ticketing system. Railways has now implemented digital modernization and anti-boat measures in its ticketing system. And under this change, the Railways has set a new record, in which 31,814 tickets were booked in a minute on 22 May 2025.
The Railways has now implemented an advanced AI-based boter mitigation solution under its new ticketing system, which neutralizes all malicious bot traffic and ensures a fair access to booking of Genuine Customers.
Railways made many big changes
Railways has made many important changes to run the ticketing system smoothly, which is as follows:
Better customer friendly experience: This new ticketing system has also greatly improved the user experience, increased security, while simplifying ticket booking and provided similar access to Genuin customers ensuring a level playing field.
Reduction in bot traffic: The new ticketing system has effectively reduced bot traffic, which is up to 50% of the efforts of LOG IN on IRCTC website during Tatkal ticket booking.
Railways did digital modernization
Railways have taken many more steps under digital modernization and anti-boat measures, such as
1. Dormiting suspected user ID: Under this initiative, the Railways has deactivated about 2.5 crore suspected user IDs which were being used to book tickets online on the IRCTC website.
2. Changes in User Protocol: Under the new user protocol, users who are not verified by Aadhaar can now book tickets immediately or premium Tatkal tickets only 3 days after registration.
Daily user login increases
According to the data released by the Railways, the Daily User Login has increased by 19.53%, which has increased from 69.08 lakhs to 82.57 lakh in 2023-24 to 82.57 lakhs in 2024-25. Apart from this, daily ticket booking has also increased by 11.85%. While the share of e-ticketing has also increased, now e-ticketing is now 86.38% of the total reserved ticket booking.
