Indian Railways Tatkal Ticket Booking: Indian Railways is going to start the process of e-Aadhaar verification for Tatkal ticket booking soon. With this, real passengers will be able to get confirmed tickets easily at the time of need. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has given this information.
Railways say that passengers whose IRCTC accounts will be linked to Aadhaar will get a chance to book tickets in the first 10 minutes of starting the booking immediately. On the other hand, the authorized agents of IRCTC will not be allowed to book tickets in these initial 10 minutes. This means that common passengers will get more facilities in booking tickets, provided their account is related to Aadhaar.

20 lakh accounts found suspect
According to Railway Ministry officials, the Railways has launched a campaign against such agents who book tickets using automated tools. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is being taken in this work. In the recent investigation, about 20 lakh accounts have been found suspicious, whose Aadhaar and other documents are being investigated.
Only 1.2 crore account connected to Aadhaar
There are currently 13 crore active users on the IRCTC website, but only 1.2 crore accounts are associated with Aadhaar. Now the railway will conduct a special check for about 11 crore 80 lakh accounts of the remaining. The accounts which are found suspicious will be blocked.
The main objective of the Railways is to ensure that only real and needy passengers get immediate and premium Tatkal tickets. Therefore, Aadhaar Linked Accounts will be given priority in the first 10 minutes of booking. If you also want to book Tatkal tickets, then get your IRCTC account linked to Aadhaar as soon as possible, so that you can avail this new facility.
