Talking about the first ODI match played in Southampton, England won the toss and scored 258 runs after losing six wickets, losing six wickets.

The hosts had lost the wickets of the openers by the score of 20. From here, Emma Lamb shared a 71-run partnership for the third wicket with captain Nat Cyver-Brant.

Lamb scored 39 runs in 50 balls with the help of four fours, while Brant scored 41 runs in 52 balls. The team lost the wickets of both these batsmen till the score of 97.

After this, Sophia Dunkle, along with Alice Davidson Richards, added 106 runs for the fifth wicket and led the team to a strong score. Dunkley was dismissed by scoring 83 runs in 92 balls with the help of nine fours, while Richards scored 53 runs in 73 balls. Apart from these, Sophie Eclestone remained unbeaten after scoring 23 runs.

Sneh Rana and Kranti Gaur hunted two each for the visiting team, while Amanjot Kaur and Mr. Charani got one success each.

In response, India won with 10 balls remaining. Pratika Rawal scored 48 runs for the first wicket with Smriti Mandhana. Mandhana was dismissed for 28 runs, while Pratika scored an innings of 36 runs.

The Indian team had lost the wickets of their four batsmen by a score of 124. From here, Jemima Rodriguez shared a 90 -run partnership for the fifth wicket with Deepti Sharma and brought the team close to victory.

Rodriguez returned to the pavilion after scoring 48 runs in 54 balls, after which Deepti Sharma scored an unbeaten 62 in 64 balls and won the team. For England, Charlie Dean took two wickets in his name, while Lauren Bell, Sophie Aclestone and Lauren filer took one wicket each.

India has made a 1-0 lead in three matches ODI series. The remaining matches of the series are to be played on 19 and 22 July.
