Pakistan has been troubled in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) conference held in Tianjin, China. Member countries involved in the SCO Summit have strongly condemned the terrorist attacks in Pahalgam on 22 April this year. Member countries have supported India on the issue of terrorism. Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is also part of the summit. Terrorism and Pahalgam attack were included in the declaration in front of him.
Tianjin’s manifesto said, member countries have reiterated their commitment against terrorism, separatism and extremism. Member countries have strongly condemned terrorism and also said that double standards will not be acceptable in the fight against terrorism. He has also asked to bring the culprits involved in the Pahalgam terror attack into the dock of justice.
What PM Modi said in SCO summit on the issue of terrorism
Prime Minister Modi called terrorism a threat to regional security at the summit. Referring to the Pahalgam terror attack, he said that India is facing the brunt of terrorism and the Pahalgam attack is an attack on humanity. Addressing the meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Council, the PM said, “Terrorism and separatism are big challenges. No country, no society can consider itself safe from it, so India has emphasized solidarity in the fight against terrorism. SCO has also played a big role in this.”
PM Modi’s special meeting with Putin
Prime Minister Modi will hold a special meeting with Russia President Vladimir Putin. The important thing is that after participating in the summit, Prime Minister Modi and Putin left with the same car. Its picture has also surfaced. PM Modi’s visit to China is considered very important amidst the ongoing tension with US President Donald Trump.
India’s initiative received recognition in SCO Summit
India’s initiative was recognized at the SCO Summit. The manifesto supported the theme of ‘Ek Earth, One Family, A Future’. Apart from this, member countries also welcomed the results of the 5th SCO Startup Forum held in New Delhi from 3 to 5 April 2025.
