India stand on kashmir: Amid the tension between India and Pakistan, India has made the US clear that if Pakistan is talked to, it will only be on the return of PoK and terror. Apart from this, there will be no conversation.
Government sources said, “Our situation on Kashmir is very clear, only one case is left- the return of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Also there is nothing to talk. If they talk about handing over to the terrorists, we can talk. We can talk. We have no intention on any other subject. We do not want anyone to mediate. We do not need anyone’s mediation.” According to sources, Pahalgam was a separate case and action against Pakistan was the result of forty years of terrorism.
Why did India not use the word ceasefire?
On why the ‘ceasefire’ was not used, government sources said, “Operation vermilion is not over. We are in a new normal phase. That is why we are using words like ‘understanding’ and stopping firing. The world will have to accept it. Pakistan will have to accept it, it cannot run as always.”
What about the May 7 attack?
Sources said that after the attack on terrorist bases in Pakistan and PoK on May 7, India told that we have carried out these attacks. If someone wants to talk, then you can say but Pakistan did not talk and started attacks from there. When India demolished his 8 airbase on May 10 in retaliation, the Pakistani DGMO got a call and spoke of ceasefire.
