India has got the hosting rights of 2030 Commonwealth Games, which will be held in Ahmedabad. Now India’s Union Home Minister Amit Shah has claimed that India is also going to host the 2036 Olympics. He said this at the Sansad Sports Festival organized in Ahmedabad. Amit Shah told the people present at the festival to get ready for organizing even bigger games.
Get ready for Olympics 2036…
Speaking at the MP Sports Mahotsav, Amit Shah said, “You all have recently got the hosting of the Commonwealth Games. But people of Ahmedabad, get ready, because the 2036 Olympics is also going to come to this city.” Let us tell you that this ceremony took place in Naranpura, where Amit Shah had reached the newly constructed Veer Savarkar Sports Complex.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah started his three-day visit to Gujarat from Friday. He said that Ahmedabad is going to host many national and international level events before 2036. Keeping his objective clear, he said that his aim is to create such an environment for sports and to create an infrastructure that can support big events like the Olympics.
He told at what level efforts are being made for the development of sports in Ahmedabad. Veer Savarkar Complex, built at a cost of Rs 800 crore, is an example of this. Apart from this, he also mentioned Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Sports Enclave located in Motera.
India will get a lot of medals
Amit Shah said with confidence, “I am confident that when India hosts the Olympics, India will be in the top-5 list of medal winning countries.” He told that in 2014 the sports budget was Rs 800 crore, but in the next 11 years it has increased to Rs 4 thousand crore by 2025.
