Dr. Sneh Bhargava was honored in 1984 to become the first woman director of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi. In 1962, as a junior radiologist, he also played an important role in the treatment of the country’s first Prime Minister Pandit Nehru. In his autobiography, Dr. Bhargava writes that the day he took charge in AIIMS, Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was brought to the emergency room in the morning in a riddled condition. Doctors tried, but no hope left
