The health department, which is engaged in preventing the outbreak of vomiting and diarrhea spread due to contaminated drinking water in the country’s cleanest city Indore, on Monday examined more than 4,800 people and 12 new diarrhea patients reached the health centers. The officers provided this information. So far, 21 people have died in this case according to different claims. However, the government has given compensation to the families of 18.
Officials said that during the ongoing survey in Bhagirathpura area affected by this outbreak, separate health check-ups of 4,827 people were done. He said that 12 new patients reached the Out Patient Department (OPD) of the health centers in Bhagirathpura, out of which three people were sent to hospitals.
According to officials, since the outbreak of vomiting and diarrhea started in Bhagirathpura on December 29, a total of 434 patients have been admitted to hospitals, out of which 395 people have been discharged after recovery.

Officials said that currently 39 patients are admitted in hospitals, out of which 10 people are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The administration has so far confirmed the death of seven people in the outbreak of vomiting and diarrhea caused by drinking contaminated water in Bhagirathpura, while local citizens have claimed that 21 patients, including a six-month-old child, have died due to this outbreak.
