All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Chief Asaduddin Owaisi has reacted sharply to China’s claim of mediation in the ceasefire between India and Pakistan. The Hyderabad MP said that India cannot remain silent on this claim of China. He has demanded an official denial of this claim from the Modi government.
AIMIM MP Owaisi made several posts on X and asked sharp questions to the Modi government regarding China’s claim. He said that after the US President’s announcement of ceasefire and claim of using trade sanctions to ensure peace, now China’s Foreign Minister has officially made similar claims. This is an insult to India and the government should respond sternly to it. Improving relations with China cannot be done at the cost of India’s honor and sovereignty.

Owaisi raised questions on China’s claims
After Operation Sindoor, Asaduddin Owaisi was a part of the delegation sent by the Modi government to countries around the world. He says that China wants to keep India and Pakistan on the same level and wants to prove itself superior in South Asia. He raised the question whether when the Prime Minister went to China, the Modi government was ready for this.
Central government denied
The central government on Wednesday (December 31, 2025) has denied China’s Foreign Minister’s claim of mediating the conflict between India and Pakistan. The government has already rejected similar claims of US President Donald Trump. Officials say that India’s stand against any third party mediation has not changed.
What did the Chinese Foreign Minister say?
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi claimed in an address that to restore long-term peace, we have adopted a fair and equitable approach, focusing on addressing both symptoms and root causes. We mediated tensions between Pakistan and India because of the approach adopted by China to resolve disputed issues.
