International Education Day 2026: From ‘Neel Battey Sannata’ to ‘I am Kalam’, these films explain the real meaning of education.

Aamir Khan’s first film ‘Taare Zameen Par’ shows children and education from a different perspective. This film is the story of a child named Ishaan, who is weak in studies, due to which his parents send him to a boarding school. There he meets Aamir Khan, who understands his problem and tells him that he is not suffering from any disease but is a child who learns differently. Aamir not only helps Ishaan but also teaches his parents the right way to understand children. This film shows the relationship between child and parent in a very emotional and true manner.

The second film is ‘Neel Battey Sannata’, which gives a serious educational message along with comedy. Swara Bhaskar played the role of a mother in this film, which got a good response at the box office and was released abroad with the name ‘The New Classmate’. The story is of a mother and daughter, where the mother works at home but wants her daughter to progress through education. To motivate her daughter for studies, the mother enrolls her in her class. She makes a bet with her daughter that if she gets higher marks than her, she will leave the school herself.
