IPhone construction will increase in India
Foxconn plans to increase the production of iPhone and its various components in India faster. According to Taiwan Focus report, Foxconn will capitalize Rs 12814 crore ($ 1.49 billion) in its Singapore -based subsidiary ‘Foxconn Singapore PTE Ltd’. This money will be invested directly in Foxconn’s Indian unit Yuzhan Technology (India) PVT LTD.
This investment will give further expansion to the activities related to the construction of iPhone in India, which is expecting a huge increase in exports along with local production.
Preparation of data center unit in America
Along with India, FoxConn has also received an investment approval of $ 375 million (about Rs 3100 crore) in the US. This investment will be used to set up a new unit which will focus on high-tech works like data center safety and server assembly. This step is part of Foxconn’s global expansion strategy, under which the company wants to spread its technical expertise worldwide.
Bounce in iPhone exports from India to America
According to a report by Reuters, FoxConn has now increased rapidly as the iPhone is exporting to America from India. While earlier this figure was 50 percent, between March and May 2025 it increased to 97 percent. During this time iPhone worth $ 3.2 billion was sent to America from India.
Let me tell you, US President Donald Trump had expressed displeasure over Apple’s increasing investment in India and also suggested Tim Cook not to invest in India. But in response, Tim Cook announced to continue his investment in India. In May 2025, Apple announced a new component factory near Chennai at a cost of $ 2.5 billion.
Foxconn’s global expansion
Foxconn is now spreading its manufacturing network globally. The company currently has 223 factories and offices worldwide. Of these, 54 are located in America, and 12-12 in India and Europe. The company is also expanding in Vietnam, Mexico and other countries.
