Indian Army honored for ‘Operation Sindoor’
BCCI Secretary Devjit Sakia told in a conversation with Hindustan Times that the Indian Army will be honored in the closing ceremony of IPL 2025. According to the report, Chief of Defense Staff General Anil Chauhan, Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of Navy Staff Admiral Dinesh’s Tripathi and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal AP Singh have been sent invitations for this event.
When and where will the closing ceremony of IPL be?
IPL 2025 will be played on June 3 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. A closing ceremony will be organized before the match on this ground itself. Military bands can perform in this event. Along with this, popular singers can also be called for performance, the way Shreya Ghoshal gave the performance in the opening ceremony of IPL 2025. Similarly, a musical event can also be done in closing ceremonies.
BCCI honors Indian Army
The BCCI is not being honored for the first time to the Indian Army. In the year 2019 too, the military band performed in the IPL opening ceremony. At the same time, the Board of Control for Cricket in India gave Rs 20 crore for the personal welfare of Armed Forces. During that time there was a Pulwama attack on the Indian Army, in which 44 soldiers were martyred. Even then the BCCI had paid tribute to those martyred soldiers.
