Explosion in ran: A major explosion took place at the martyr Rajai port on Saturday (April 26, 2025) in Bandar Abbas city, located in the south-west part of Iran. According to Iran’s government media, 4 people have died in this blast so far. At the same time, more than 500 people are reported to have been injured.
After the explosion at the port, people shouted from all sides. At the same time, after the horrific explosion, all the activities of the port have been stopped immediately to extinguish the fire. According to a report by Iran’s semi-official Tasneem News Agency, a large number of people work at this port, so a large number of employees are feared injured and killed in this blast.
Officials gave information about the accident
Regarding the explosion at the port, local disaster management authority chief Mehradad Hasanjadeh told Iran’s government media, “The reason behind this horrific accident was the explosion in the containers kept at the martyr Rajai port. At present, we are sending all the injured from the spot and sending them to medical centers for treatment.”
On the other hand, Mukhtar Salahshore, head of the Hormozagan Red Crescent Society, told the government TV media, “Four rapid response teams have been sent to the spot after the horrific explosion at the port.”
Several kilometers away effect
The explosion at the port was so strong that the glass of the windows of the buildings up to several kilometers away became shattered. At the same time, after this blast, many videos are going viral on social media platforms, in which the smoke arising in the sky after this explosion can be seen.

It is noteworthy that the martyr Rajai port is located in the south of 1,000 km south of Iran’s capital Tehran and 23 km west of Bandar Abbas city, which is the most advanced container port in Iran. Through this port, the fifth of the world’s oil production moves forward.
Cyber attack took place at the port in 2020
In 2020, Shaheed Rajai, Iran’s most advanced container port, became a victim of a cyber attack. Due to this cyber attack, there was heavy chaos in the surrounding areas. At the same time, Washington Post had said in its report that Israel was allegedly behind the attack, which was done in response to a former cyber attack on behalf of Iran.
