Iran US War: Ballistic missile attack on Israel’s nuclear research center city, more than 40 injured

3 weeks have passed since the US-Israel war with Iran. On Saturday (March 21), more than 40 people were injured in a missile attack in Dimona, the city of Israel’s Main Nuclear Research Center. All the injured have been admitted to the hospital. This information was given by the country’s National Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Magen David Adom (MDA).

Iran took revenge for the attack on Natanz
This incident occurred at a time when Iran has said that it is targeting Israel’s nuclear program in retaliation for the attack on its nuclear enrichment center located in Natanz. According to MDA, his team treated more than 36 people, including those injured by shrapnel. “Update from southern Israel: More than 40 people treated in Magen David Adom after ballistic missile hits residential area,” the MDA said in a post.

The injured included a 10-year-old boy, who emergency medical services said suffered shrapnel injuries but was in stable condition. MDA further said that people who were injured while running towards shelters were also provided immediate medical aid.

IAEA is investigating
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) accepted the report of the attack in Dimona, but did not receive any information about any damage caused to the Negev Nuclear Research Center. AIA said regional authorities have not reported any unusual levels of radiation following the attack and that it is closely monitoring the situation.

The Nuclear Research Center was opened in Dimona in the year 1958. It is believed that Israel has nuclear weapons but its leaders neither confirm nor deny these speculations. The attack on the desert town in southern Israel came just hours after Iranian state media reported an attack by US-Israeli forces on the Natanz enrichment facility.
