A big controversy has come to light in Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday, on the very first day of the 10th board examination, regarding the English paper. A few minutes after the commencement of the examination in the Government Higher Secondary School located at Tukaithar in Burhanpur district, pictures of the question paper went viral on social media. After this there was a stir in the education department and the district administration. It is being told that the English exam started at 9 am, while it is alleged that Rajkumari Soni, a teacher posted as a supervisor at the exam center, uploaded the photo of the question paper on her WhatsApp status.
Apart from this, it is also being told that this picture started spreading on different social media platforms just a few minutes after the exam started. Investigation revealed that the teacher had taken a picture of the question paper kept on the table of a student who was absent in the examination. The allegation is that the photo of the question paper was also sent to another person, so that it could be solved and copied by the candidates.
Administration took action
As soon as the information about this matter was received, District Collector Harsh Singh and other officials reached the examination center. After preliminary investigation, the teacher was suspended, along with this, the examination center chairman Jitendra Kumar Kulkarni and assistant center chairman Anita Dixit were also suspended on charges of negligence. Indore Division Commissioner Dr. Sudam Khade took this action on the basis of the report of the district administration. Officials say that strict action will be taken against those who compromise the confidentiality of the board exams. According to Superintendent of Police Devendra Kumar Patidar regarding this matter, a case has been registered against the teacher under the relevant provisions of Madhya Pradesh Recognized Examination Act and Indian Justice Code. The police is investigating the entire matter and the role of other people involved is also being investigated.
Will the English exam be held again?
Regarding the paper leak, the district administration claims that the question paper has not been leaked. According to officials, 109 students were admitted to the examination center before 8:40 am and the question paper was distributed on time. The teacher had posted the photo on the status at around 9.06 after the exam started. Therefore it will not be considered formally leaked. Till now, no announcement has been made by the administration regarding re-examination. Officials say that the examination was conducted smoothly and there was no paper leak situation.
