Amidst the ongoing protests in Iran, the Indian government has issued an advisory for its citizens. The Ministry of External Affairs has said in its advisory that students, devotees, businessmen and tourists living in Iran are appealed to leave Iran immediately and avoid traveling to Tehran until further orders.
The Ministry of External Affairs said, ‘Indian citizens present in Iran should exercise caution and avoid going to areas where protests or rallies are taking place. Stay in touch with the Indian Embassy in Iran and keep an eye on local media for any developments. Indian citizens have been advised to leave Iran through commercial flights or any transport available there.
The Ministry of External Affairs has requested all Indian citizens living in Iran to keep their travel and immigration documents, including passport and ID, ready with them.
