Salim Khan, father and writer of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, did two weddings. He first married Salma Khan and second to Helen. Salma was related to Hinduism, her real name was Sushila Charak. Recently, Salim Khan has revealed that Salma (Sushila )’s father was not ready to marry her. The reason for this was the religion of Salim Khan. In such a situation, the veteran writer took seven rounds with Salma before Nikah.
In a conversation with the free press journal, Salim Khan said- ‘My father-in-law, who was a dentist, belonged to the Dogra community. When it came to my marriage, he examined my background and respected that I am from a good family and I am well educated. He told me clearly that he has problems with my religion only.
Why seven rounds for Salma Khan?
Salim Khan further said- ‘I comforted him that even if there are differences or quarrels between us, I and my wife will not do so because of their religion. Now it has been 60 years for our marriage. Salim Khan also told that he had also taken seven rounds before Nikah due to Salma Khan. He said- ‘My wife loved the ceremony of seven rounds and she also saw her sister and cousin playing it. So I myself found a pundit in my area and got a round. We also got married, which is actually a ritual that makes it clear that you are not getting married in any pressure or force.
Please tell that Salim Khan and Salma Khan married in 1964. After marriage, they had four children- Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan and a daughter Alvira Khan. In 1981, Salim married actress Helen Richardson.
