Israel -ran conflict: The tension between Israel and Iran has taken a dangerous turn. Israel carried out the most terrible airstrikes ever under Operation Rising Lion on Saturday (14 June 2025). In these attacks, nuclear plants and military bases of major cities like Iran’s Natanj, Isfahan and Tehran were targeted. After the attacks, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned, “What he has felt so far is nothing compared to the coming days.”
According to Iranian media, many senior military officers and nuclear scientists were killed in these attacks. There was news of a fierce fire in the South Paras gas area, which was later taken under control. Tehran termed these attacks as a declared war and canceled the ongoing nuclear conversation with the US with immediate effect. Iran says that such a conversation is not practical and safe in the current situation.
Attack with over 200 missiles and drones
Iran responded to these attacks within 24 hours. Tehran targeted several Israeli cities with more than 200 ballistic missiles and drones. However, most of the Israeli air defense systems intercepted, but some attacks were taken on successful targets. Tehran also said that if the attacks continue, his response will be more deadly next time. Earlier, many scientists and top commanders of Iran have died in the Israeli attack on Friday (June 13). Because of this, Iran is quite furious.
America and UN worried
The United Nations Secretary -General has appealed to both countries to exercise restraint, calling this situation dangerous. The US, who was already playing the role of a mediator in nuclear dialogue with Iran, wants to avoid getting caught in this struggle, but is also under pressure on being Israel’s strategic ally.
