Mention of ceasefire agreement
It is noteworthy that last year in 2025, a ceasefire agreement was signed between Israel and Lebanon with the mediation of America. After this, Israel hopes that the Lebanese army will disarm Hezbollah. In fact, the ceasefire agreement between the two countries included the condition that Hezbollah would be disarmed. The Lebanese army has set itself a deadline of the end of 2025 to complete the first part of its multi-phase plan to disarm all non-state groups.

Attacks continue despite ceasefire
Despite a ceasefire coming into effect on 27 November 2024, Israeli forces continue attacks in Lebanon, citing the threat from Hezbollah. Along with this, Israel has also maintained its position at five major places on the Lebanon border.
