After the gang rape of a medical student in Durgapur, West Bengal, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee urged the girl students living in the hostel, especially those from outside the state, to follow the hostel rules and not go out late at night.
The father of the rape and murder victim of RG Kar Medical College student has given his reaction regarding this statement of Mamata Banerjee. Talking to the media, he said, ‘CM Mamata Banerjee has said a very good thing. We will ask them to issue a fatwa tonight that no girl should come out of the house from tomorrow morning, it would be good. No girl will go out.
‘It would be better if the Chief Minister issues a fatwa’
The victim’s father said, ‘If she cannot do her work then she should resign from the post of Chief Minister. A similar incident has happened with a girl from Odisha in West Bengal. What message is she giving to that state? It would be better if the Chief Minister issues a fatwa. It would be better if girls do not come out of the house from tomorrow.
