Share Market Today: Today also the stock market started with a decline like the previous trading session. BSE Sensex started trading at 83800 level with a fall of 0.07 percent, while Nifty was seen trading below 25800 after falling 0.08 percent.
By 8:45 am, GIFT Nifty was also down 0.17 percent or 46 points, indicating a weak start to the stock market. It is being estimated that trading in the stock market today will be stock-specific because quarterly results of many companies like Bharti Airtel, Tata Motors PV, Hero MotoCorp and Life Insurance Corp are coming.
Mixed business in Asian market
Most Asian markets remained under pressure on Thursday. A decline was seen in many major indexes. Japan’s Nikkei 225 rose 0.15 percent, while Topix was seen trading in the green with a rise of 0.47 percent. In contrast, South Korea’s Kospi closed with a huge fall of 1.31 percent and Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 also fell by 0.18 percent.

US markets closed on a mixed note on February 4 as heavy selling in technology stocks impacted sentiment. The S&P 500 fell 0.51 percent to 6,882.72, led by losses at major companies such as Advanced Micro Devices. The Nasdaq Composite came under heavy pressure, slipping 1.51 percent to 22,904.58. Meanwhile, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 49501.30, up 260.31 points or 0.53 percent.
Purchasing by foreign and domestic investors
Preliminary data shows that on February 4, Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) bought Indian shares worth Rs 29.79 crore, while Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) bought shares worth a much higher Rs 249.54 crore.
