But the interesting thing is that Jackie Shroff never dreamed of becoming an actor. He was born near Teen Batti area of Mumbai and spent the first 33 years of his life in a chawl. This struggle is the biggest story of his success. Due to lack of money, Jackie Shroff had to leave studies after 11th. To shoulder the responsibility of the family, he did many small jobs ranging from selling peanuts. At that time he was not able to get any kind of job.
This is how acting career started
One day, while standing at the bus stand, an accountant working in a modeling company offered her modeling. Due to need of money, Jackie accepted this offer. It was from here that she did modeling and this opened the doors of Hindi cinema for her. After modeling for some time, Jackie Shroff joined an acting institute to take basic training in acting.
There he met Dev Anand’s son Sunil Anand. Impressed by Jackie’s personality and acting, Sunil introduced him to his father Dev Anand. Dev Anand gave Jackie a small role in the 1982 film ‘Swami Dada’, in which he was seen with Shakti Kapoor. After this film, famous director Subhash Ghai noticed Jackie and he gave him the lead role in the film ‘Hero’. This was Jackie’s first hero film, which made him an overnight star.
Today he is the owner of crores
After working in films for more than four decades, Jackie Shroff has made wealth worth crores. According to a report by GQ India, his total net worth is said to be around Rs 212 crore. Jackie is also very fond of luxury cars and he has expensive cars like Bentley Continental GT, BMW M5 and Jaguar SS 100.
The most special asset of Jackie Shroff, owner of many properties, is his 8BHK ultra-luxury apartment located in Mumbai, which is worth around Rs 31.5 crore. Bollywood’s favorite ‘Jaggu Dada’ is still active in films and keeps inspiring people with his thoughts and thoughts of life.
