The company has sent a new consignment to the US on 1 May 2025. According to the London Times newspaper report, JLR’s first batch recently left for the US from Britain. Due to this tariff, in April 2025, JLR had to be temporarily stopped to send his cars to America.

He said, “We are working closely with our partners to understand and reconcile the new business rules of America. We are currently implementing our short term strategies, while work on mid and long term plans is going on.”

JLR is not the only company that faced America’s tariff. Other British luxury car companies like Aston Martin were also affected by this. The Trump government had implemented 25% tariff on all imported cars and light trucks from 3 April 2025. After this, he said that he will issue executive orders to provide relief on import parts and materials.
