The Congress is an attack on the Modi government on the statement of Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan regarding Operation Sindoor. Congress General Secretary and MP Jairam Ramesh has accused the government of not taking transparency in the matter of informing the government on Sunday (June 01, 2025).
In a conversation with news agency ANI, Jairam Ramesh questioned that why have we had to wait till now about the revelations made by General Chauhan in Singapore?
Congress accused the government of not taking transparency
The Congress MP said that it would have been better when Defense Minister Rajnath Singh had held an all -party meeting. At the same time, they should have given information and the government should have informed the Parliament of the country about this, because India is considered the mother of democracy.
Congress attacker over CDS Anil Chauhan’s statement
Jairam Ramesh’s statement came after the statement of CDS General Anil Chauhan in which he told the news agency Reuters during the Shangri-Lay talk in Singapore that the Indian armed forces had to bear the loss at the beginning of Operation Sindoor. He further said that our forces soon covered that loss and after that we entered Pakistan and made an air strike.
What did CDS tell about Operation Sindoor?
CDS General Chauhan said that there was a loss in the initial phase of Operation Sindoor, which started on May 7, but we soon handled Pakistan a befitting reply on 7 and 8 May and on May 10, with full force, retaliatory attacks were carried out on Pakistan. He said that India destroyed 11 airbase of Pakistan, one of which is near Islamabad.
