Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur along with the central team from Delhi visited the disaster affected areas of Saraj assembly constituency and informed them about the damage caused by the tragedy. In the course of evaluation of disaster damage from disaster, the Leader of Opposition and the central team first reached Bagyad, followed by Thunag, Deji Village, Lambha Thach, Pandav Shila, Janjhali.

Loss of more than 1000 crores in Saraj assembly constituency itself

After this, sitting with the team, he told about the loss in detail. So that the central team can get an idea of the tragedy and the circumstances after that. He said that due to this disaster, there has been a loss of more than Rs 1000 crore in Saraj assembly constituency only. At present, the work of electricity supply, drinking water supply and restoration of roads has been done temporarily.

The Leader of Opposition said that in the same way, there has been heavy loss in Nachan, Dharampur and Karsog assembly constituencies. There is a need to make concrete plans of rehabilitation along with disaster relief in these areas. He requested the team to make a special rehabilitation plan for the rehabilitation of these areas and why the disaster is coming in these areas repeatedly.

Thanks to the central government

Intensive research and studies should also be done for this, so that the causes of the disaster can be known and a permanent plan to prevent them can also be made. He said that he had urged Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda to evaluate and compensate for the loss from disaster. He also thanked the Central Government for sending the central team for very early evaluation.

Jairam Thakur said that people have not reached many places due to the closure of roads. The central team also could not reach there. After submitting the report after evaluation of disaster damage, he will go to Delhi himself and will meet all the prominent leaders, including the Union Home Minister and will urge Himachal to quickly help liberal financial assistance.

He also thanked the Central Government for providing all possible support in relief and rescue operations in the disaster.

Where did the central party visit

The central party took stock of the damage done to the houses and other property of the people in Bagasad and the adjoining Sharan village and also inspected the Industrial Training Institute and other damaged structures.
