The Election Commission has announced election dates for four Rajya Sabha seats in Jammu and Kashmir and one Rajya Sabha seat in Punjab. According to the Commission, voting for these five seats will be held on 24 October. The notification of the election will be released on 6 October.
Candidates can file nominations for this election from October 6, while the last date for filing nominations has been fixed on 13 October. The nomination papers submitted by the candidates will be examined on 14 October, so that all necessary documents and qualifications can be confirmed. After this, the last date for withdrawal of nomination is 16 October.
Voting will be done from 9 am to 4 pm
Voting will be held from 9 am to 4 pm. Voters will get an opportunity to go to their respective constituencies and use their vote. The counting of votes will start from 5 pm on the same day and the results will be declared soon.

Sanjeev Arora won elections from Ludhiana West
Sanjeev Arora won the Ludhiana West by -election. The by -election was held on June 19 in Ludhiana West Assembly seat. This seat was vacant after the death of Aam Aadmi Party MLA Gurpreet Gogi Bassi in January. The party nominated Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora as a candidate in this by -election.
