In this way Jammu and Kashmir got a huge lead of 291 runs in the first innings. Even after this, Jammu and Kashmir did not follow Karnataka. Jammu and Kashmir itself came to play and scored 342 runs for 4 wickets in the second innings. Then the captains of both the teams agreed to draw the match and in this way Jammu and Kashmir became champion for the first time.
