During the monsoon session on Tuesday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha had questioned the policy of the central government, referring to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam.

He said, “The Government of India has made a mistake. We have a fight with someone and we tell him that now we do not want to fight. We have slapped you, the other will not slap you. The mistake was not of the army, not the government.”
Rahul Gandhi also said that in 1971, former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi gave complete freedom to the army, but the current government did not give an open exemption to the pilots after the Pahalgam attack.

BJP MP Ghulam Ali Khatana accused Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha of giving wrong messages on the issues related to the security of the country and said that the army and the government are unitedly in protecting the country. At such a time, the opposition should stand with the country, not Pakistan should give strength statements.
