Japan Built A 3D Printed Railway Station in Less Than 6 hours

Japan 3d printing railway station: Even though the whole world is moving forward in terms of technology, Japan is something else. There are often such inventions, which are surprised. Today we are going to tell you about one such surprising thing here and that is the 3D printed railway station prepared in just 6 hours.

The wooden station built in 1948 was replaced

Here we are talking about Hatsushima station located in Arida city of Wakayama province of Japan. This is a small station. Everyday 530 passengers come and go from here. It is an old wooden station, built in 1948. Now it needed to change.

This responsibility was assigned to a construction company named Serendix by West Japan Railway. To dispose of this work as soon as possible, the company prepared 3D prints in a factory in Kumamoto province on the South-Western Kyushu Island and it was strengthened by Concrete. It took 7 days for this entire preparation. All these parts were brought to Hatsushima station in the north-east by road from the factory on the morning of 24 March.

This is why the work is settled overnight

According to the New York Times report, the co-founder of Serendix said, the construction work usually runs for months as trains do not run every night. Construction work on the commercial line is subject to many strict sanctions, so work is done overnight so that the timetable does not get any obstacle. On the night of 25 March, the truck reached the spot with a 3D-printed parts.

After leaving the last train from the station at 11:57 pm, construction work started and in less than six hours, a new shining station of 100 square feet was made by adding Proppad Parts. It was ready before the first train arrived at 5:45 am. However, there were some minor work left such as installation of ticket machine and transportation card reader, etc. West Japan Railway said that a new building can be built in July.
