The turn in the lives of both of them came when friends placed a condition during the film chain that if the film became a hit, he would go to London. But Amitabh’s parents rejected the Idea of London Trip. He said that he cannot go to London with a girl until he marries her. What was it then Amitabh Bachchan said yes to marry Jaya, obeying his parents.
He proposed Jaya for marriage and Jaya too immediately said yes. Amitabh also spoke to Jaya’s parents and took approval. And within a few days his wedding date was fixed. They got married on 3 June 1973 and went to London on the same day.
Amitabh and Jaya were married in the secret ceremony. Only family and friends were involved in their marriage. Amitabh and Jaya are the parents of two children. His son’s name is Abhishek Bachchan and the daughter’s name is Shweta Bachchan.
