The Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) has taken an important decision regarding the upcoming panchayat elections in Uttar Pradesh. In the meeting of the election committee held in Meerut, the party decided that it would contest panchayat elections without any alliance on its own. In Meerut, RLD held an important meeting in view of the UP Panchayat elections in which a huge announcement was made. Despite being a part of the NDA, now the Rashtriya Lok Dal Uttar Pradesh Panchayat elections will be contested on its own. It was announced by Dr. Kuldeep Ujjwal, State Convenor of Panchayat Election Committee in Meerut on Friday.
Regarding the meeting of the Election Committee held in Meerut, Dr. Kuldeep Ujjwal said that the election of the panchayat is the election of the village, the people of the village vote in it. Our party is connected to the grass root level in the village, we work on it and on the basis of that we are preparing to contest elections in the entire state. Our complete preparation has been done, we had a meeting in Meerut which was our regional level meeting. Our region is the area of two mandals, our alliance is, we are part of NDA, that is at the assembly level, at the Lok Sabha level, but it is a regional level election, Panchayat is the election. We will work to fight this on the strength of our organization, on the strength of our worker.
During this, all the officials of Meerut and Saharanpur divisions, regional presidents and members of the Panchayat Samiti were present. In this meeting, it was decided that five member committee will be formed in every district which will take responsibility for the candidate selection. RLD believes that the strength of the organization will reach the lower level from the panchayat elections and the workers will get an opportunity to participate in active politics. The state convenor of the Panchayat Election Committee told about the meeting that the strong foundation of the assembly elections will be prepared from the panchayat elections itself. Ujjwal insisted that the panchayat level victory will determine the big political direction of the future.
