America’s Vice President JD Vance’s public comment regarding the conversion of his wife Usha Vance has created an uproar across the world. He also said that it is because of his wife that he has regained interest in Christianity and has started going to church on Sundays. JD Vance had said that he hoped that one day his wife would convert to Christianity. The reaction of Hindu American Foundation has come to light on this comment of JD Vance.
The Hindu American Foundation hit back and advised the US Vice President to convert to Hinduism. He said why did you never think of joining Hindu religion. On behalf of the organization, it was said that if they join Hindu religion, then the existing anti-Hindu sentiment on social media will reduce and the acceptance of the positive impact of Hindu religion will increase.
What did JD Vance say in defense of his statement?
JD Vance, who has been accused of defaming his wife’s religion, said that it is disgusting to interpret his statement in this way. JD Vance said that Usha Vance is not a Christian and has no intention of converting, but like many people in interfaith marriages or interfaith relationships, he hopes that one day Usha will be able to see things the way he does.
With respect @JDVanceif your wife encouraged you to re-engage with your faith, why not reciprocate that and engage with Hinduism too?
If you did you may well learn that Hinduism doesn’t share the need to wish your spouse comes around to see things as you do in terms of… https://t.co/fkQQgclNDl

Vance continued, ‘No matter what happens, I will continue to love her and support her and talk to her about faith, life and everything else, because she is my wife.’ He said that Usha has been the biggest blessing of his life and has encouraged him to reconnect with his religion.
JD Vance considered himself agnostic before marriage
JD Vance was baptized in 2019, several years after his marriage to Usha Vance. Before this he called himself agnostic. He told that when they met for the first time, Usha was also agnostic. Regarding his wife’s religious conversion issue, Vance said that yes, Christians have their own beliefs and those beliefs have many consequences, one of which is that we want to share them with others. This is completely normal.
