JEE Advanced 2026 schedule released, know when will you be able to register?

Big news has come for lakhs of students dreaming of studying in IIT. Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) has released the complete schedule of Joint Entrance Examination Advanced 2026 i.e. JEE Advanced 2026. Through this examination, one can get admission in B.Tech and other undergraduate engineering courses in all the IITs of the country. In such a situation, this information is very important for the students who have been preparing for this exam for a long time.

According to the information released by IIT Roorkee, JEE Advanced 2026 will be organized on Sunday, May 17, 2026. This examination will be computer based and two papers will be taken in the same day. All information related to the exam is available on the official website jeeadv.ac.in. Candidates can go there and see the complete notification.

When will registration start?
The application process for JEE Advanced 2026 will start in April 2026. Candidates who qualify JEE Main 2026 will be able to register online from 23 April 2026 at 10 am to 2 May 2026 at 11:59 pm. Whereas the application process for foreign nationals, OCI and PIO candidates will start from 6 April 2026 and will continue till 2 May 2026.

It will also be necessary to deposit the examination fee along with the application. The last date for fee payment has been fixed as May 4, 2026 at 11:59 pm. If the fees are not deposited on time, the application will not be considered valid.

When will you get the admit card?
JEE Advanced 2026 admit card can be downloaded from 10 am on May 11, 2026. Candidates can download their admit card till 17th May 2026 at 2:30 pm. Without the admit card, entry into the examination center will not be allowed, hence students are advised to download it in time and take a print out and keep it safe.

How will the exam be conducted?
JEE Advanced 2026 exam will be conducted in two papers on the same day.

  • Paper-1 will be held from 9 am to 12 noon.
  • Paper-2 will be taken from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

To appear in this examination it is necessary to appear for both the papers. If a candidate appears in only one paper, it will not be included in the ranking. The question paper will be available in both Hindi and English languages.

Who can give JEE Advanced 2026
Only those candidates will be able to apply for JEE Advanced 2026, who will be within the top 2.5 lakh ranks in JEE Main 2026. JEE Main 2026 will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in two sessions. The first session will be from 21 January to 30 January 2026 and the second session will be from 1 April to 10 April 2026. Based on the performance of both the sessions, the list of eligible candidates for JEE Advanced will be prepared.
