JEE Mains Session 1 Result 2026: JEE Mains result will come soon, the wait of lakhs of students is about to end.

National Testing Agency (NTA) is going to release the result of JEE Main 2026 soon. According to the official exam bulletin, JEE Main result can be released by 12 February 2026. Lakhs of students who appeared in the examination are eagerly waiting for their results. After the release of the result, candidates will be able to check their score by visiting jeemain.nta.nic.in website.

To check the result of JEE Main 2026, students will need their application number and password. Important information like name of the candidate, application number, marks obtained and pass or fail status will be given in the result. After downloading the result, students can also take a printout of it, which will be useful in the further process.

The path to JEE Advanced 2026 will open

Students who qualify JEE Main will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2026. To get admission in IIT, it is necessary to pass JEE Advanced. This year, more than 13 lakh students took the exam in the first session of JEE Main. Of these, about 2.5 lakh students will be selected for JEE Advanced.

It is necessary to cross the cut-off.

Merely passing the exam will not be enough. Students will also have to achieve the prescribed cut-off marks. Only the candidates who clear the cut-off will be able to participate in JoSAA counselling. Through JoSAA one can get admission in IITs, NITs, IIITs and other government technical institutes.

Admission in engineering and architecture courses

Through JEE Main exam, students can take admission in courses like BTech, BArch and BPlanning. This examination is a major means of admission not only in government colleges but also in many private engineering colleges. This is the reason why JEE Main is counted among the most important examinations in the country.

Got a chance to object to the answer key

JEE Main 2026 examination was conducted in computer based mode. After the examination, NTA had released the provisional answer key. Students were given a chance to register their objection on this. A fee of Rs 200 was fixed for filing objection on each question. After the objections of the students, the result has been prepared on the basis of final answer key.
