An air ambulance carrying a patient from Ranchi, Jharkhand to Delhi met with an accident in a forest area in Chatra on Monday (23 February). To save the life of a hotelier from Jharkhand, his family members had borrowed more than Rs 7 lakh and arranged for an air ambulance so that he could be treated in a top hospital in Delhi. But it is said that who can avoid it? The family had set out to save the life of one of their members. There were 7 people in the air ambulance including the patient and the pilot.

According to the information, Sanjay Kumar Shaw (41), resident of Chandwa in Latehar district, was brought to a hospital in Ranchi on February 16 with 65 percent burns. He was being treated in the hospital. The family decided to take him to Delhi for better treatment. Patient Sanjay Kumar, his wife Archana Devi, relative Dhruv Kumar, doctor Vikas Kumar Gupta, nurse Sachin Kumar Mishra, pilot Captain Vivek Vikas Bhagat and Captain Savrajdeep Singh were in the air ambulance.

Accident due to bad weather!

The Beechcraft C90 air ambulance operated by Redbird Airways Private Limited took off from Ranchi at 7:11 pm. After about 20 minutes it lost contact with air traffic control. It is being told that due to bad weather the plane crashed in a forest area of ​​Chatra district.

Sanjay got burnt due to fire in the hotel

According to an NDTV report, Sanjay used to run a hotel in Chandwa in Latehar district of Jharkhand. Last Monday, a fire broke out in his hotel due to short circuit and Sanjay got caught in it. He suffered 65 percent burns. Doctors at a private hospital in Ranchi referred him to Shri Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi. Sanjay’s condition was too great to travel by road, so his family contacted relatives and borrowed Rs 7.5 lakh for an air ambulance. Some money was also kept aside for his treatment in Delhi.

Sanjay’s elder brother Vijay Shaw had gone to drop him at Ranchi airport. He said, “We had just reached home when we heard about the accident from the TV news. Everything was over in an instant.” The family told that both Sanjay and his wife Archana died in this accident and their two children became orphans. He says that if there were better treatment arrangements in Ranchi, there would have been no need to airlift Sanjay.

Bajrang Prasad, father of Dr. Vikas Kumar Gupta, who lost his life in the accident, told that he had sold all his land to make his son a doctor. Dr. Gupta was posted in Sadar Hospital, Ranchi. Dr. Vikas Kumar Gupta has a seven year old son.
