Amidst the political turmoil regarding the assembly elections in Bihar, Jitan Ram Manjhi’s party Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) on Tuesday (October 14) has announced candidates for 6 seats in the state. He has given ticket to his daughter-in-law Deepa Kumari. Deepa is the wife of Santosh Kumar Suman. Santosh Kumar Suman is currently a minister in the Bihar government.

HAM fielded candidates on 6 seats

HAM has fielded Deepa Kumari from Imamganj assembly seat. Anil Kumar has been given ticket from Tikari. Jyoti Devi has got a chance from Barachatti. There itself,
Romit Kumar has been given ticket from Attri assembly seat. Praful Kumar Majhi has been given the ticket from Sikandra, while Lalan Ram has got the ticket from Kutumba.

Anil Kumar, Jyoti Devi get another chance

The current MLA from Tikari seat is Anil Kumar and he has been given another chance. At the same time, Jyoti Devi has been fielded from Barachatti, who had also won the 2020 assembly elections. Jyoti Manjhi is the supporter of Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi. Romit Kumar, who got the ticket from Attri Assembly seat, is a B.Tech from DY Patil Engineering College and an MBA from London. Gyan Bharti operates public schools in Gayaji and Nawada. Prafulla Kumar, who got ticket from Sikandra, had also registered in the last elections.

How many seats will Jitan Ram Manjhi’s party get in NDA?

Under the seat sharing formula in NDA, Jitan Ram Manjhi’s party HAM has got a total of 6 seats. BJP and JDU are contesting elections on 101-101 seats. Union Minister Chirag Paswan’s party LJP (R) has got a total of 29 seats, while Upendra Kushwaha’s party RLM has got 6 seats.

Bihar elections in two phases

There are elections for a total of 243 assembly seats in Bihar. Assembly elections will be held in two phases on 6 and 11 November. Whereas the counting of votes will take place on November 14.
