Indian security forces busted the hideout of Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists on Monday (19 January 2026) in the ongoing operation in search of Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist Saifullah and his group.

What was found from the terrorists’ hideout?

During the operation, the security forces recovered a large quantity of items of daily use including cigarette packets, blankets, boxes of ghee, boxes of eggs, more than 50 packets of instant noodles, LPG cylinder, gas cooking stove, packets and bottles of refined oil, sacks of wheat, pulses and rice, packets of tea leaves, sugar, packets of Namkeen etc.

Terrorists were busy in big planning

According to sources, security forces found all these items at Jaish’s hideout located in the forest of Chatru area of ​​Kishtwar. According to the assessment of the intelligence agency, the recovered ration was enough to meet the needs of a group of at least four terrorists for about three months, which means that the Jaish-e-Mohammed group was planning to use this hideout for a long time.

According to intelligence sources, according to their assessment, this hideout could belong to Saifullah group of terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed, which has a total of 3-4 terrorists including Saifullah. This group also includes his associates Farman and Adil, all three are Pakistani citizens, who had infiltrated into India during the year 2022–23.

Agencies engaged in investigation of terrorist module

According to sources, these terrorists were trained in the training camp of Jaish-e-Mohammed located in Hangu area of ​​Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan, where they were trained to live and fight in the hilly area for a long time under the leadership of Jaish commander Murad Azhar. The operation of security forces is going on to search for these terrorists of Jaish. After receiving the recovered material, the investigating agencies will also investigate the local support network of this terrorist module.
