JMM will not be limited to Jharkhand! Can contest elections in Assam and Bengal, CM Hemant Soren indicated

Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has given a big signal regarding the assembly elections to be held in the coming days in Assam and West Bengal. The party is now preparing to move out of Jharkhand and make its mark on the national platform. Speaking to the media in Dumka, Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that a large number of tribals live in Assam and Bengal and JMM can also contest elections in these states to become their voice.

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has made it clear that his party will no longer be limited to Jharkhand only and will expand its scope. Before leaving for Ranchi on Tuesday, at Dumka airport, the CM expressed his intention to contest the upcoming elections in Assam and West Bengal.

Shibu Soren had a long association with Assam and Bengal – Hemant Soren

CM Hemant Soren said, “His father and Dishom Guru Shibu Soren has an old relationship with many areas of Assam and Bengal. People there know JMM. Many tribals of Jharkhand have been settled in Assam for a long time and are fighting for their rights. In such a situation, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) can come forward to fight their battle.

Bengal politics will heat up regarding tribal vote bank

However, after this statement of CM Hemant Soren, a new stir can be seen in the politics of Assam and Bengal, especially regarding the tribal vote bank. Jharkhand CM and JMM President Hemant Soren addressed a huge rally of Adivasi Mahasabha organized in Tinsukia district of Assam on Sunday (01 February). During this time, he had prominently raised the issue of identity, rights and recognition of lakhs of tribals who were displaced from Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal.
