After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, tension between India and Pakistan is at its peak. Actually, JNU has suspended the MoU from Turki’s Inonu University. JNU has cited the security of the country behind this step. JNU tweeted, giving information about the cancellation of MoU from Inonu University of Turki. He wrote, ‘In view of the security of the country, MoU is being suspended between JNU and Inonu University of Turki till further orders. JNU stands shoulder to shoulder with its country. Along with this, JNU also put the hashtag #nationfire.

People of India are angry with the Turks
Significantly, after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India had run an operation vermilion against the terrorists hidden in Pakistan. The Turki had expressed displeasure over India’s move and said to support Pakistan. People of India are very angry with this. Most of the people have canceled the Turkas even their booking.
When was the MoU signed?
According to the JNU website, this agreement was signed for three years on 3 February 2025. It was to continue till 3 February 2028, but JNU has suspended it citing the security of the country. JNU took this step when the government banned the X account of Turki’s news broadcaster TRT World in India. Actually, this channel was broadcasting wrong information against India. Because of this, protests against Turki products and services are increasing in the country.
