There was a clash between ABVP and Left supported student organizations in Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) on Sunday night (February 22, 2026). The incident took place around 1:30 in the night. There has even been stone pelting. Now Union Minister Giriraj Singh has reacted on this matter.
Giriraj Singh said, “…Strict laws should be made against such people. These are Rahul Gandhi’s Tukde Tukde gang… JNU has become the nursery of urban Naxals… Strict laws should be brought against these people… They are not dedicated to the country. The left organization there (JNU) creates opponents of the country. Those boys who are not leftists, they call them members of ABVP and beat them up…”
Giriraj Singh termed JNU as Rahul Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi as JNU. JNU has become the laboratory of the left. The Union Minister said that students who are not left are intimidated. Is beaten. Let’s kill.

JNU administration should control it: JDU
On this incident, JDU leader Neeraj Kumar said, “JNU is a heritage… the atmosphere of mutual consent should be kept wholeheartedly. There can be ideological disagreements… these conflicts can happen… is it the responsibility of the JNU administration to control it?”
What is the whole incident?
There was a clash between student organizations in JNU late night. In this, ABVP media coordinator Vijay Jaiswal was seriously injured. Many other students have also been injured. According to the reason behind the controversy that has come to light so far, the Left’s move on the issue of locking the school building was opposed by ABVP. There was an uproar over this and then the matter escalated. It is alleged that two groups of students came face to face late in the night. A commotion started in the campus. There has even been stone pelting.
